Your first major battle is in my garden. The zombies are simple minded creatures so they tend to stick to pathways. This makes the job of killing them a bit easier. You can place defense towers on the pathways but don’t completely block the zombie’s path because this freaks them out and they will destroy the tower, ruining your work.

Back in the good times I used to hang out in my friend Jimmy’s garden trying to catch bugs. Jimmy’s garden offers fewer opportunities to place towers that can reach a lot of zombies.  Plants are no good at killing zombies (obviously), so you’ll have to select some good towers here to survive.

If you can clear the suburbs of zombies you need to make your way to the forest. There are good opportunities here to make use of a large clearing to place the defence towers in such a way that they force the zombies to take a longer route. This will give the towers a chance to really pound the zombies to dust.

The deep forest is where I came close to being zombie meat. With a clever placement pattern of defense towers you can really slow the zombies down. Charge up your towers, burn them, blow them up, and nail them to the forest floor.

Forget any ideas of laying on a sunny beach and surfing till sunset. Lots of open space creates opportunities for honing your skills at strategic thinking. Herd the zombies so your towers can smack them as often as possible.

Sandy Beach might give the impression of a simple, open route but this also means the zombies can get across the beach fairly quickly. You need to slow them down by placing your defense towers in the open spaces so the zombies have to weave their way around them.

Stone Canyon’s dusty path will get the zombies through the gateway in no time at all so it’s up to you to pulverize them before they get away. Your task will be made all the more difficult because there is little prospect of getting the zombies to stay in the tower’s range for extended periods of time … unless you know what you are doing.

Pit Canyon means only one thing  ... serious trouble. There are no fewer than three entry points into the canyon. That means you need to divide your resources to cover all the entry points. To make things worse there are a lot of open spaces which means the zombies can take the shortest way to the exit.

For the town battle you will need to get your head around some crowd control strategies. It is a confusing maze of pathways with no fewer than five entries and two exists. Some very carefully placed towers will get you through it alive.

Any cosy feelings you might have had regarding zombies following clever pathways are gone. This is an open battle field. It’s just you, your towers, the zombies and the blooded tarmac.
